Located at dock one or dermaga 1 this place is owned by Mr. Ridwan, who is also a boat man. This place serves nasi goreng rammang (fried rice), ayam goreng Kalasan (fried chicken), soto ayam (chicken soup), and many more. Price starts from 12,000.

  • Rammang-rammang Eco Lodge & Cafe
Located near dock two or dermaga dua. Beside a restaurant, it's also an accomodation if you want to stay overnight in Rammang-rammang. This place use eco friendly materials but still looks nice. It also has a good view of the river and lime stones.

Tana Toraja in South Sulawesi is well known for their unique culture and traditions. Beside that Toraja is also popular with beautiful sceneries and beautiful traditonal houses called Tongkonan. 

Toraja 4 Days 3 Nights Itinerary:

Day 1: Makassar - Toraja

Pick up at Sultan Hasanuddin airport/ hotel in Makassar then proceed to Toraja. Driving to Toraja takes around 9-10 hours with some stops.
We will stop for lunch in Reza Cafe Pare-Pare to try the local food from Pare-Pare. Next stop is in Buntu Kabobong or Erotic Mountain, Enrekang for a cup of coffee or tea then continue to Toraja and check in at hotel. Then free program.

Day 2: Toraja Full Day Tour 

After breakfast We will go to the south part of Toraja, tour starts at 9 am. First we will visit Lemo which is an ancient grave with tau-tau on the cliff. 
Then we continue to Buntu Burake. The view from this hill is so beautiful. You can see mountains and Makale town, the capital of Tana Toraja. Beside that you can see Jesus Statue here.

After that we will have lunch in Panorama restaurant. After lunch we will go to Kote baby grave. In Toraja, they put dead babies inside the trees. After that we will visit Tampangallo, a cave grave with many old wooden coffins (erong) and old effigies.

Then last stop will be Kete Kesu. A traditional village that has 6 traditional houses (Tongkonan) and 12 rice storages (Alang). Some of the houses are around 300 years old. There are also modern grave (Patane), hanging grave, and cave grave. Back to hotel then free program.

Day 3: Toraja Full Day Tour

We will go to the north part of Toraja, tour starts at 9 am. First we will visit Bolu market. Here you can see livestock market where they sell water buffaloes, pigs, roosters and we can also see the traditonal market.

After that we will stop to see beautiful rice terraces in Tinimbayo then continue to Batutumonga for lunch with the view of rice field and the view of Rantepao from above. We will have lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch we'll have trekking along the rice field.

Then we will go to Bori to see a field for funeral ceremony with 102 menhirs. Each stone represents a different funeral. Here you can also see stone grave and baby grave.
Back to hotel then free program.


Day 4: Toraja - Makassar

After breakfast we will go back to Makassar to catch your flight or drop off at the hotel if you stay overnight in Makassar. We will have some stops on the way back to Makassar.


Note: 
  • This program is flexible and you can customized it based on your preferences and needs.
  • If you want to see a funeral ceremony please let us know in advance so we can find an information about schedule of funeral ceremonies that happen to be held when you'll be here.
  • A moderate amount of walking is involved.
  • Wear hiking shoes or hiking sandals.
  • Don't forget your sunscreen and mosquito repellant.

If you are in Tanjung Bira or Bira beach and you want to continue your trip to Sengkang and then Rantepao, it will be difficult to do it with public transport. The easiest way is to go with a private car with driver, with one night stop in Sengkang.
